Copyrights, Piracy et al

At office we all (team members) had to do a presentation. When it was my turn, I presented this ... just thought could share it here

When you find time, please check (just few slides) and let me know your comments

  1. Maappu... Think of it this way... If I pay for a song, the possibilities of coming up with better music increases and they come up with better music and price their next product at a higher rate. Adhae naan piracy la dhaan paattu kaekkuraen nu vai... the music director has to sell at least a reasonable number of copies and that means he has to come up with a cut above the rest stuff to sell it. Second option seems cheaper! :D

Just kidding... On a serious note long time to abolish piracy but I liked a few hilarious slides u had... One that comes from the top of my head, the agenda type of slide where u said plz no piracy and all that! :D

  4. Hey Ramya,
    Thanks!
Well yes, topics like these are often considered gyan ... unless there is a little interest created with something a little different
I also gave away gifts at the end; like original CDs, free Linux versions ... not sure if I convinced people; but I went down as a reasonable attempt

  7. Vinayak - Yours is exactly my thoughts about Piracy. You have put is beautifully in the presentation. Landed in your blog after a long time... Happy to see that you are comparatively more active here... Wish you a peaceful new year.

  8. Hey Suresh,
Wishing you a great new year too ...
And on Piracy, I was always against piracy but did not begin practicing buying originals until I saw someone really serious about it - You. So I am glad that you happened to see this post and liked it.
